Upload and Create new Episode

Uploading a locally stored file is a two step process. Enter the meta data for your video or audio file below and click next to then drag and drop your file for upload.

Media files must be under 25GB. See below for format specific information. Note: After completing an upload our system will transcode your file for variable bit rate playback.

Video Formats
We support nearly any video format for uploading. Examples are 3GP, AVI, FLV, MOV, MP4 and WMV.

MP4 with H.264/AAC is a ubiquitous format these days and is our preferred upload video format.

There are a few noteworthy formats that are not supported:
- Quicktime (MOV) files that use the Apple Intermediate Codec (used in Final Cut Pro).
- DRM protected files from Microsoft (WMV) or the iTunes Store (M4V, MOV).
- WMV videos using the MSS2 video codec (for screencasting).
- Videos generated by GoToMeeting.

Audio Formats
We support uploading of .mp3 and .acc audio files.



A] UPLOAD MEDIA AND CREATE NEW EPISODE

STEP 1:
Go to Upload File > Local File Upload (https://v3.sermonstudio.net/secure/UploadLocalv1) page within your Account.



STEP 2:
Select Upload and Create Episode



STEP 3:
Select what you want your video file converted to: video only, audio only, or both audio & video for this Episode.



STEP 4:
Enter the details / metadata and adjust the settings for this Episode.

- Episode Tilte

- Episode Description

- Start Showing Date: If this date is set in the future the video will not show until this date.

- Episode Tags: These are comma separate keywords that will help this episode be found during a topic search.

- Episode Speakers: Some player views allow all Episodes with this Speaker to be displayed with a single click. Click here for more information on adding Speakers.

- Episode Categories: Some player views allowall Episodes with this Category to be displayed with a single click. Click here for more information on adding Categories.

- Add to Playlists: An Episode must be assigned to a Playlist for it to show in your Media Centers or Playlist players. Playlists allow you to create unique "folders" (or groups) for your Episodes. Click here for more information on adding Playlists.

- Add to Podcast: Podcast Feeds allow you to syndicate your content to directories such as; Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, Spotify, etc. Click here for more information on adding Podcasts.

- Scripture: Episode will link to passage in Media Center's integrated Bible.

- Artwork: Create and Upload your Video artwork at 1920x1080, and your Audio artwork at 1400x1400.



STEP 5:
Click [Save and Continue]

STEP 6:
Click on the UPLOAD section to select the file from your system, or drag-and-drop your file into the UPLOAD section.

NOTE: Do not leave this page until the upload is complete. You will see an upload progress indicator...

A] Once the upload is complete the page will refresh and take you to your Manage Episodes page.  Your file is now being processed (transcoded into multiple bitrates).

You can leave this page at any time. As the transcoding completes the Episode will become available in your Players, based on the Episode's Playlist assignment(s).

[B] You can select any Episode from the list to make changes to the Episode, and to get a simple player just for this Episode's media.
