Deep Reset Steps (Facebook + Sermon Studio)
If you’re having trouble connecting to (or streaming to) Facebook, try this deep reset. Unfortunately, a lot of this can be on Facebook’s side - sometimes they force a full security re-auth, which breaks the connection. A clean reset usually fixes it.
1, Log into Facebook (profile)
- Go to facebook.com and log into your Facebook profile (not a Page).
- Remove Sermon.net from Facebook Business Integrations
- Click your profile icon (top right)
- Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings
- On the left menu, scroll down to Business Integrations
- Remove/delete anything that says sermon.net
3, Log out of Facebook completely
- This is important: fully log out of facebook.com (don’t just close the tab).
- Remove the Facebook connection in Sermon Studio
- Log into your Sermon Studio
- Go to the Simulcast page
- Delete the current Facebook connection
- Refresh the page to confirm it’s gone
- Reconnect Facebook (fresh login)
- Click to add/connect Facebook againIt should prompt a fresh login (username/password)
- Complete the Facebook permission prompts until you see Facebook successfully connected
- When the connection window closes, refresh the Simulcast page to see the new connection
- Select the correct Facebook destination
- In the Facebook target dropdown, you’ll see all Pages you have admin rights to
- Select the Page you want to stream to (not your profile)
- Refresh the page again to confirm the selected Page sticks
