Problem Live Streaming To Facebook

Deep Reset Steps (Facebook + Sermon Studio)

If you’re having trouble connecting to (or streaming to) Facebook, try this deep reset. Unfortunately, a lot of this can be on Facebook’s side - sometimes they force a full security re-auth, which breaks the connection. A clean reset usually fixes it.

1, Log into Facebook (profile)

  • Go to facebook.com and log into your Facebook profile (not a Page).
  1. Remove Sermon.net from Facebook Business Integrations
  • Click your profile icon (top right)
  • Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings
  • On the left menu, scroll down to Business Integrations
  • Remove/delete anything that says sermon.net

3, Log out of Facebook completely

  • This is important: fully log out of facebook.com (don’t just close the tab).
  1. Remove the Facebook connection in Sermon Studio
  • Log into your Sermon Studio
  • Go to the Simulcast page
  • Delete the current Facebook connection
  • Refresh the page to confirm it’s gone
  1. Reconnect Facebook (fresh login)
  • Click to add/connect Facebook againIt should prompt a fresh login (username/password)
  • Complete the Facebook permission prompts until you see Facebook successfully connected
  • When the connection window closes, refresh the Simulcast page to see the new connection
  1. Select the correct Facebook destination
  • In the Facebook target dropdown, you’ll see all Pages you have admin rights to
  • Select the Page you want to stream to (not your profile)
  • Refresh the page again to confirm the selected Page sticks
