If your livestream isn’t appearing on your Facebook Page, the first step is to reset the Facebook connection inside Sermon Studio. This forces a fresh login and re-authorizes the correct Facebook profile and Page destination.
Step-by-step
- Log out of Facebook first (very important)
- Go to Facebook.com and make sure you are fully logged out of any Facebook account.
- Open your Sermon Studio account
- Log into your Sermon Studio dashboard.
- Go to the Simulcast page
- Navigate to Simulcast (where your streaming destinations are listed).
- Delete the existing Facebook connection
- Find the current Facebook target.
- Click the trash can icon (bottom-right of the Facebook target) to remove it.
- Re-add Facebook
- Click Add (bottom-right) to add a new simulcast destination.
- Choose Facebook.
- Log in with the correct Facebook *profile*
- When prompted, log in to the personal Facebook profile that has admin (or equivalent) rights to manage your church’s Facebook Page.
- This step matters: Facebook Page access is granted through an individual profile.
- Allow permissions
- Follow the prompts and allow access when asked, so the connection can publish to your Page.
- Refresh the page (if needed)
- After the connection is complete, you may need to manually refresh your browser to see the new destination appear correctly.
- Select the correct Facebook Page destination
- If your profile manages more than one Page, make sure you select the church’s Page as the final simulcast target. (Refresh again if needed.)
- Confirm Facebook is active
- Back on the Simulcast page, confirm the Facebook destination shows as enabled/active.
- Test your stream
- Start a quick test stream to confirm it appears on the correct Facebook Page.
If issues continue after resetting, the next step is to confirm the Facebook Page permissions for the profile you used, and verify that the Facebook destination is enabled before you go live - but in most cases, the reset above resolves it.
